some UI and AJAX help

I am currently working on a website for people who read literature in a foreign language to learn and consolidate their language skills. The site is a not for profit project and the books themselves come free from sites such as Gutenburg which hosts +30,000 texts. what we are hoping to do is allow people, on the same page, to:

- Read a book
- View and add contextual translations of any word in the original text
- Write comments on the grammar or style of the text.
- Have a forum area to discuss the books (with the focus on language) in more detail than the "definition" side which the main site will be

So, it is book, study guide, translation and language resource all in the same place. Our team consists of the project manager, the designer and me (who has done all the programming up to this point). Due to my limited experience with JavaScript, I could really do with some assistance in programming some of the client side interaction using the Mootools Framework.

Would you be interested in coming on board?

The aim is to provide a place where people who read literature to learn languages can come together, profit from each other's specialist knowledge, focus on the language of the original text and talk about books. We have a load of volunteers ready to market the website en masse who are very keen to get the site as well known as possible.

The majority of the code is ready for deployment, just lacking a UI that works well in JavaScript (as you might have notice by some of the posts on this forum sure you will have noticed from my help requests). I am willing to show you what has already been produced should you show any interest.

I'm happy to learn JAvascript and am learning more about it every day but, what would be really useful is someone who I could be in touch with regularly to overcome some of the obstacles met. I live in the UK
